Key new position 

Ai Group has an impressive record in policy development and service delivery to our member companies in a range of industries as broad as manufacturing, construction, ICT and labour hire.  We value our members by keeping close, accountable and responsive to their needs and maintaining an apolitical stance on policy matters. 

 

This key new position will contribute to Ai Group’s strategic policy development by initiating, developing and providing expert policy advice, programs and strategies across a range of environment and energy policy areas as well as other policy areas as appropriate.The position will work closely with Ai Group’s growing environment services team and our broader public policy team.  

 

Key responsibilities include provision of policy advisory services to management, members and industry at all levels, representing Ai Group in consultation forums and liaison with Federal and State agencies and key stakeholders regarding the impacts of new and amended legislation and regulations. 

 

The successful applicant will have strong analytical and research skills and experience in communicating complex concepts to a variety of audiences.  Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (eg public policy, environmental studies, economics), demonstrated knowledge of key environment and energy policy issues and experience with Federal and State Government policy and bureaucratic processes would be highly advantageous. 

 

The location of this position is flexible; it may be Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and considerable interstate travel will be required.
