The strong growth of our environment and resources businesses has given rise to an opening within SKM’s Adelaide based Planning and Environmental Management team.  We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner or EIA Practitioner with a background in environmental planning, science, law or engineering whose interests and experience lie in managing multi-disciplinary environmental impact assessment teams for significant infrastructure and development projects.  

 

Working amongst a group of motivated professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills and experience that you can contribute to the group. On a day-to-day basis you will manage multidisciplinary projects, liaise with clients and relevant authorities, identify and scope key issues, manage specialist investigations, integrate information and write clear and succinct reports in a commercial environment.  You will also prepare expressions of interest, develop and cultivate client relationships and actively participate as an key member of the team by leading and coaching others.  

You’ll need relevant tertiary qualifications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding of South Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation to succeed in this role.  Experience or appreciation of the fields of environmental impact assessment, environmental management planning (EMP), Mining and Rehabilitation Program (MARP) development, environmental auditing, stakeholder management, or environmentally sustainable design will be considered a strong advantage.
