Greening Australia is a progressive, a-political, non government, not for profit community based organisation focussing on native vegetation management through community engagement in partnership with all levels of government, business and local communities.

 

Exciting and Challenging Opportunity An exciting and challenging position has become available for a period of six months on the Gold Coast.  We are seeking a person with a high degree of technical expertise and experience in native vegetation restoration.  The position works directly with the Gold Coast City Council’s Natural Areas Management Unit and in particular the restorations section and their community stakeholders.

 

If you are self-motivated, love working with the community and seek a position that will utilise much of your technical expertise and experience in bush regeneration, revegetation and community engagement then this position is for you.

 

To succeed in this role you will have:

• Qualifications in conservation and land management or equivalent
• High level communication skills
• Skills in resource management and coordinating the participation of volunteer community groups such as environment groups and local schools, as well as assisting in coordinating events such as World Environment Day and Environmental Education Programs
• Highly developed organisation skills
