GHD's Environment group works with clients from the global market areas of Infrastructure, Mining & Industry, Defence, Property & Buildings and the Environment to integrate sustainable development principles across their business operations.

 

GHD’s Environment group in Melbourne is seeking to recruit a Team Leader to manage and develop our expanding climate change and greenhouse gas management services in Victoria.

The role includes building on the current work and capability to meet the growth in demand for our Greenhouse Advisory services, emissions inventory (carbon accounting work and verification) and emission reduction advice. 

 

This position will work with and manage a small close-knit team working on local, national and international projects. Preferably, the successful candidate would have 10+ years experience in greenhouse gas management and climate, including project management.

You should also have a demonstrated commitment to sustainable development, a willingness to work across a range of sectors, with capabilities in two or more of the following areas:

 

• Knowledge of current and emerging international, national and state greenhouse gas legislation, regulation and policy including National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System (NGERS) and Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS).
• Development of greenhouse gas inventory, management strategies, and monitoring plans, including life cycle assessment.
• Familiar with a range of greenhouse gas abatement options and offsets available across a range of industry sectors.
• Greenhouse gas verification under the Greenhouse Challenge Plus program, NSW Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scheme, and Clean Development Mechanism.
• Understanding of climate change impact assessment and adaptation options across a range of sectors.
• Experience with corporate reporting, including greenhouse gases.
