JOB DESCRIPTION:
A GIS support analyst is required to join the GIS program team. The team supports the use of spatial data and GIS technologies by staff within the department of water throughout the state. The agency has 600 employees, with up to a third of those having some requirement to use GIS and approximately a tenth utilising thick client GIS software. The occupant will be expected to operate as a team player and be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the agencies GIS program and services.
Successful applicants will have a relevant university degree and demonstrated experience with ESRI software packages including the use of geodatabases along with the proven ability to resolve complex spatial analysis and modelling issues within time and resource constraints. You will also require high level interpersonal skills accompanied by written and verbal skills that will enable you to liaise and negotiate with internal and external parties.
