    As a Biosciences Researcher you will discover new molecules (bioactives) that have the potential to kill pathogens affecting plants, humans and animals. 

    You will work in a team environment to generate and mine new metagenomic information from complex microbial systems. Organisms for bioinformatic analysis will include fungal endophytes and microbial systems in rumen and soil. You will characterise the activity of identified peptides, pathways and metabolites utilising a range of new technologies including mass spectroscopy. 

     

    Participate in exciting experimental work and gain experience in the application of high performance computing for the integration and analysis of new and complex biological data.

    To be eligible you must have graduated from your most recent undergraduate degree within the last four years and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
