Australia’s leading resource for environmental employment, education and events
Kororoit Creek is a major waterway in Melbourne’s north-west region. Approximately 80km in length, it plays many roles - including draining stormwater to prevent homes from flooding and providing habitat for native flora and fauna.
Many plants have been planted along Kororoit Creek in Altona to help increase the biodiversity. They have grown well and are now too big for the tree guards. Come with CVA on Friday the 10th of September to see the newly established native plant communities and learn more about Australian fauna and flora! Bring your binoculars - you might be lucky enough to see some Australian wildlife on the site.
There will also be a FREE BBQ lunch provided to thank volunteers for all their efforts!
Our daily projects are free to join, require no experience and are great fun. You just need to wear long sleeves/pants, work boots, BYO lunch and water bottle, and be prepared to get your hands dirty!
