Gardening at Heide Museum

Conservation Volunteers Australia

The Heide Museum in Heidelberg has historic gardens over a 16 acre property, which have been worked on since the first European trees were planted in 1934. The focus of the owners changed in the 1960's to establishing native gardens to complement the Yarra River running alongside Heide Museum.

Join a team of volunteers on Friday the 10th and 17th of September for the unique opportunity to help restore and maintain these historical gardens.

Our daily projects are free to join, require no experience and are great fun. You just need to wear long sleeves/pants, work boots, BYO lunch and water bottle, and be prepared to get your hands dirty!
