Duration: 2 weeks
The Position: Community Campaigns assistant for the duration of the
exchange.
Tasks Involved:
Range of potential community campaigning activities including;
* banner painting
* costume-wearing
* letterboxing
* assist in creation and implementation of media actions
* assist with logistics, organisation and implementation of the
community campaign outreach stalls
* assisting with WAG (the Wilderness Action Group for volunteers)
* assisting with volunteer coordination
Skills required:
* Drivers license (essential)
* Basis Computer skills (excel, word, internet)
* Creative and artistic ability
* Good communication skills
* Experience coordinating volunteers is desirable
The successful applicant will also;
* have an ability to quickly grasp the essentials of the TWSQ campaigns
* work well under direction and within a team environment
* be energetic, passionate and outgoing
* be aligned with TWS values and possess a high level of personal
integrity
* have an understanding of and practice peaceful non-violent action
principles

* Campaign strategy
The successful applicant will report to Di Horsburgh - Community Campaigner, Cairns.
