The Hopkins River in Victoria`s Western District is severely degraded. Volunteers are required to assist us with revegetation activities to help protect and restore the river.
Project focus: To protect and restore the Hopkin’s River.
Project Tasks: Volunteers helping with this project are replanting native vegetation, constructing fences to protect the river from sheep and cattle to reduce erosion, and planting farm trees to remove excess nutrients from the riverbanks.
Project Cost: $208 which includes meals, accommodation and transport from Melbourne.
