Our client, a leading energy business, currently has an opportunity for an Environmental Specialist to join their Corporate Environment Branch.

This opportunity would suit an individual with approximately 5 years experience in environmental consulting or industry. It offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a role which offers a high degree of variety and/or a positive change from a standard environmental consulting role.

A major focus of this role is to promote change and increase awareness on a range of environmental issues. This position will see the successful applicant providing training, advice and support both internally and externally on these issues.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for co-coordinating contractors, problem solving and promoting high levels of customer service.

To apply for this opportunity it is essential to be able to demonstrate solid project management experience, as the incumbent will be required to undertake the planning and management of environmental projects.
It is essential to have a good knowledge of both NSW environmental legislation and Environmental Management Systems to ensure organisational compliance.
In addition to this experience, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following attributes;

•    Tertiary level qualifications in Environmental Science or similar;
•    Solid experience in environmental management; and
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
