The Moreland Energy Foundation Limited (MEFL) is a unique community based organisation that works across all sectors of the community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. MEFL develops and delivers leading edge projects, training, community education, technology trials, policy and advocacy work and provides direct advice to households, businesses and community organisations. This role will provide assistance to the recently funded Moreland Solar City initiative.
Purpose of role: The primary focus of this role is to influence the outcomes of urban development to ensure that best practice sustainable urban development outcomes are achieved. The Co-ordinator will form links with the community as well as facilitate productive relationships with local government, residential and commercial developers and thought leaders on sustainability in the built environment.

Suitable candidates will have gained experience in local government, construction development or as a planning consultant within a community-based organisation, not-for-profit, government, corporate or agency sectors. Critical to this role will be an extensive knowledge and passion for sustainability. This is an opportunity to work on some high profile developments with all key stakeholders committed to sustainable outcomes.
