The Moreland Energy Foundation Limited (MEFL) is a unique community based organisation that works across all sectors of the community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. MEFL develops and delivers leading edge projects, training, community education, technology trials, policy and advocacy work and provides direct advice to households, businesses and community organisations. This role will provide assistance to the recently funded Moreland Solar City initiative.

 

Purpose of role:

The primary focus of this role is to promote the profile and awareness of MEFL and its services within the diverse Moreland community. A key focus will be the development and expansion of MEFL’s current membership and contacts base, as will be the coordination of MEFLcommunications within the community. The Specialist will work in a small team to ensure that MEFL’s communications are clear, consistent and convincing. 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in developing and delivering effective marketing and promotional plans
  • The ability to network within the community and further expand MEFL’s membership base and our engagement with members
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and within diverse communities
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and developing partnerships with community organisations
  • Strong computer skills across a range of programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong public speaking, media and advocacy skills and be able to contribute to the strategic direction
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are required and possibly a post graduate qualification

 

Suitable candidates must be adept at developing and delivering effective promotional programs.They may come from a range of backgrounds including community-based organisations, not-for-profit, government, corporate or agency sectors. They will be comfortable managing a budget and co-coordinating a variety of communications.

Salary

This will be a challenging role at a time of organisational growth for MEFL. The salary will be approximately $50,000
