Manage the Rangeland Monitoring Section to deliver timely and accurate assessments of changes in the Northern Territory land resources. Provide expert scientific advice to resolve natural resource management issues and develop monitoring systems to meet current and emerging issues including clearing of native vegetation.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Provide expert scientific advice to address natural resource management issues.
2.    Provide leadership and direction in developing and delivering remotely based monitoring systems integrated with ground based data, that enable effective feedback to management decisions and actions and deliver regular land condition reports for the NT.
3.    Investigate and develop remote sensing products that assist management and sustainable development of the NT’s resources.
4.    Provide effective leadership and resource management of the Rangeland Monitoring Section and as a member of the management team, contribute to the leadership and delivery of core business of the Branch.

Salary

P3 ($81 019 - $85 356)
