This role will lead and manage partnership activities with Local Management and Industry to achieve strategic environmental outcomes and quality service delivery. In particular, aspects of the role will include development and presentation of training and awareness courses on new environmental legislation to these key groups and working with industry in the development of strategic solutions to industry’s environmental issues.

 

Job details

  • Lead and manage partnership activities within Environmental Services, engaging effectively with Local Government and industry to achieve strategic environmental outcomes and quality service delivery.
  • Co-ordinate the Environmental Protection Partnerships Forum to guide the development and implementation of legislative reforms, working with Local Government to achieve effective co-regulatory arrangements for the protection of Queensland’s environmental values.
  • Lead and participate in training activities for EPA and Local Government officers.
  • Advise, liaise, consult and negotiate with all levels of government agencies, industry and community groups on environmental issues and implementation of policy.
  • Prepare ministerial and other correspondence, briefing notes, and information documents.

Mandatory Requirements

You must have a driver’s licence and be prepared to obtain a manual licence if required

Salary

Salary per annum:    $81140 - $87005
Salary per fortnight:    $3110.10 - $3334.90
