The Senior NRM Project Officer is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Board’s Pest Management and Rangelands Rehabilitation (PMRR) Project or equivalent programs. This includes management of project staff, development of sound project briefs and action plans, assisting with the management of the project budget, undertaking appropriate procurement processes and contract management, implementing risk management strategies and monitoring, evaluating and reporting on project outcomes. The position is also responsible for developing effective working relationships with the community and key stakeholders and raising the awareness and understanding of the community about NRM issues and pest management and land rehabilitation. The position assists with or manages the planning, development and delivery of complex natural resources management projects that address community natural resources management needs.
Special Conditions: A current driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential. Considerable work outside normal hours with extensive travel within the region and South Australia necessitating occasional overnight stays will be required.
