Do you understand groundwater systems? Can you analyse complex data and think through how to make decisions about sharing Victoria’s groundwater? As a hydrogeologist with the Groundwater and Licensing Branch, you will contribute to sustainable management of groundwater in Victoria. You will use your analytical skills to determine the impact of climate change on groundwater resource use and apply your knowledge to help make decisions about how groundwater should be used. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Undertake technical evaluation of groundwater resources at a State-wide scale
• Participate in the development of approaches to resource allocation
• Evaluate hydrogeological reports, including pump test analysis, hydrochemistry analysis and numerical modelling
• Provide technical input to policy development
• Assist in prioritising resource appraisal needs
• Developing scopes of work for outsourced projects
• Project management of consultants
• Provision of advice to Government and the Water industry on Victoria’s groundwater
resources
