The Department of Primary Industries is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill the role of Environmental Modernisation Officer, responsible for delivering environmentally focused projects associated with the implementation of irrigation modernisation and water use efficiency projects in the Shepparton Irrigation Region (SIR).

The position will develop, implement and evaluate sustainability projects to engage and assist land owners in the modernisation of irrigation systems whilst monitoring the environmental impact on both terrestrial and wetland reserves across the SIR.

 

The successful applicant must hold an appropriate degree in Agricultural Science, Science or an equivalent science qualification.

 

This is a full time position available for a fixed term period of 3 years and may be located at Tatura or Echuca only.
