To coordinate the development and implementation of infrastructure projects in the South East Region including the management of contractors and consultants, liaison with regional staff and other stakeholder groups to deliver projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget allocation.
Job details
• Manage a workforce effectively to ensure they receive professional development and are appropriately skilled to achieve required outcomes.
• Maintain, manage and report on financial, assets and infrastructure.
• Monitor and report on annual work schedules and programs including fire management, wildlife management feral animal plans and weed management programs plans.
• Promote protected areas and facilitate an appreciation of all aspects of nature conservation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including neighbouring landholders, other government departments and local Indigenous communities.
Skills, knowledge and experience you need
1. Management – people, resources and systems;
2. Relevant environmental legislation such as the Nature Conservation Act 1992;
3. Natural and cultural resource management;
4. Analytical, research and problem solving; and
5. Communication and liaison – especially within the area of providing advice.
Mandatory Requirements:
You must have a driver’s licence and be prepared to obtain a manual licence if required.
