Reference #: DECC08-533 Develop and deliver innovative waste compliance and enforcement programs. To provide frontline integrated service delivery using regulatory, economic, advisory and other innovative compliance tools to protect the environment.
Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of relevant environmental and conservation legislation, for example, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, National Parks and Wildlife Act, Threatened Species Conservation Act and/or Protection of the Environment Operations Act.
- Ability to implement legislation, policy and procedures in relation to environment, conservation and/or Aboriginal heritage protection.
- Field experience in managing issues in relation to environment, conservation and/or Aboriginal heritage protection including the implementation of occupational health and safety policies and practices.
- Analytical problem solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication, liaison, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with experience in drafting correspondence and reports.
- Flexibility/ability to work in a team environment.
- Computer/keyboard skills.
- Current driver's licence.
Notes
Two positions available, one permanent and one temporary for a period up to 2 years. An eligibility list will be created as a result of the recruitment process and may be activated to offer additional positions should they become available. Electronic applications must be MS Office 2003 compatible.
Salary
Total remuneration package to: $73,718.00 ($60,065.00-$66,804.00) Salary package includes base salary, annual leave loading and employer contributions to superannuation scheme.
