As an independent international consultancy, our client works exclusively within the mining industry across more than 12 countries. With 900 permanent staff, they operate throughout the entire life cycle of a mining project, from exploration through to mine closure including all aspects of environmental consulting. Due to continued positive growth forecasts and the onset of some major Australian projects, we currently seek the services of a Senior Environmental Consultant with technical experience in geochemistry.  

As a Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant you will be working as part of a broader GeoEnvironmental team and help develop its range of services which include;

• Mine Waste Management
• Mine Tailings
• Acid Mine Drainage
• Hydrogeology

Your role will involve:

• Field work
• Analysis, evaluations and reporting as required for the successful completion of projects
• The writing and presentations of proposals in the fields of mining geochemistry, acid mine drainage and mine closure
• Mentorship for other consultants within the group
• Assisting with the development of the mining geochemistry and rehabilitation group

To be considered for this role you will have professional qualifications in a related environmental discipline, with geochemistry being the preferred field of study. Your industry experience will be related to mining geochemistry and/or mining water projects and rehabilitation. In addition, it is essential to have:

• High-level communication skills both written and verbal
• The ability to manage projects
• Proven experience in generating work
• Expert skills in client liaison
